As some of you know last week Molly started limping and we took her in to be examined by the vet. The diagnosis... torn ACL. We have no clue how this happened, as we never saw her get injured and she started the limping first thing in the morning. This type of injury is not common in her breed, so most likely it was a trauma of some kind although we aren't sure. In any case, she had to have surgery yesterday to repair it. She spent the night at the vet's office last night and we were able to bring her home this afternoon. Unfortunately, she seems to be quiet uncomfortable and can not move hardly at all. Please keep Molly in your thoughts, as she has a long road to recovery. The veterinarian told us she will not be able to run, jump, climb stairs or anything more than a short, slow walk for 8-12 weeks! We are hopeful that we will be able to control her activity for that amount of time, in order to give her the best possible outcome of a very costly procedure. Keep your fingers crossed!

Just for fun... Ethan was laying in the sun with Molly girl last week :)
In other related news, last week on Thursday a kitten adopted us. She showed up on our window ledge meowing constantly and hasn't left since. She is very friendly and social, and we believe she has been spayed already. Despite the fact that she keeps trying to come in, the agreement is that she can stay here and we will feed her but she has to stay outside. So far she doesn't have an official name. Names that have been suggested are Kitty, Kitten, Henrietta, JoJo, Katie, and "Pete the Cat" :)
