3 Months Old

Our baby girl is 3 months old (plus a couple of weeks now) and she is growing and changing so much!  She wasn't feeling too good on her 3 month birthday so we didn't get too many smiley pictures.  She was going after that sticker like it was dinner though :)

She wears pretty much all 3-6 month clothes now, although I admittedly still try to squeeze her into a 3 month outfit occasionally so as to not have to accept the fact that she has completely outgrown another set of clothes.  Somehow this means she isn't growing quite a fast in my mind :)  Two weeks ago she went to the doctor and weighed 13 lbs!  Poor thing had a clogged tear duct and developed a secondary infection, but after a week of antibacterial eye ointment she is doing much better!  Now if we could just get her to sleep like she used to...  Last month she was consistently giving me 7 to 8 hours of uninterrupted sleep at night, but the last few weeks are down to about 4 or 5 hours :(  That's a little sad for Mama, but I do enjoy the extra sleepy cuddles!

Right now we are working to get her on semi-consistent schedule and also working on napping in her crib.  So far, our record for minutes slept in crib is 40 :/ This is all in preparation for my return to work next month (tear).  Her first day at daycare and my first day back in the office will be August 10th, but working some hours from home leading up to that.  Please go ahead and start praying for us now!

This month she rolled from front to back for the first time (although, while she did it several times over a couple of days, she hasn't done it again since.)

She has also found her voice and loves to talk to anyone who will listen!  There is just nothing sweeter than those little coos and grins.  When she's "talking" to me and Ethan hears her, he tells me "She's saying 'mama'!"  Smart boy... I bet that is exactly what she is saying :)

She has also started batting at and grabbing toys when laying on her play mat and she loves the singing panda bear toy, which was also one of Ethan's favorites when he was a baby.

In June we were selected as the "Family of the Month" so we had a mini photo session with one of the teachers at the school who is trying to start up a photography business on the side.  Here is the image we chose to have on display at the school, along with a bio of our family.
