Ethan, Ethan, he's our man, if he can't do it no one can!!! Our little guy is rolling over... He uses a lean approach instead of the push approach I was expecting, but he gets the job done!
On Saturday while I was upstairs working on the nursery, Troy and Ethan were downstairs playing. Troy would prop Ethan up on his arms and help him to roll over. That afternoon Troy told me Ethan kind of rolled over by himself after being positioned optimally by Daddy. I saw it for the first time yesterday and he needed a little less help than the day before. Today he was able to move his arms on his own to get positioned and roll himself over. I thought I might be saddened by the achievement of this first milestone, but really I could not be more proud of the little guy!!! He rolled over twice this morning and I caught both on video so here they are!
Here are just a few other fun videos from play time yesterday.

Baby's First Christmas
Ethan's First Christmas = BEST Christmas EVER!
We celebrated Christmas this year in Dallas with my family and it was wonderful! We were able to spend time with ALL of the family which has never happened.
Mommy, Daddy & baby Ethan (and Molly) with all his Christmas loot :)
Last Friday we went to my Aunt Sherrie and Uncle Bob's for Christmas with the Ferrell clan. Ethan got lots of toys, a hand knit blanket from Aunt Sherrie, some clothes and LOTS of lovin! We played a fun gift exchange game and I went home with the Starbucks gift card I brought and Troy left with a trendy scarf and necklace which he donated to me :)

Big winner!
We spent Christmas Eve at my Memaw & Papaw's house eating lots of Mexican food and Christmas sweets. We also had fun finishing an alphabet book for Ethan that was started at my Austin baby shower!

We spent Christmas day with my mom and Cliff. Ethan liked opening presents until we got to the clothes... typical kid! Just kidding... the clothes just happened to be last and he had endured enough fun by that point. We had a wonderful time playing and watching Christmas movies all day!

Best (and cutest) Christmas present EVER!!!

Mall Santa
Well, mall Santa's aren't what they used to be that is for sure! No red velvet coat for Santa any more... he has down-graded to a more casual Texan look consisting of a red & green vest and cowboy boots. Not sure that is the best look for Santa but at least he had a quality beard. Ethan didn't seem to mind Santa's new attire so I guess that is all that matters! He told Santa all he wants for Christmas is his two front teeth... ha! :)
Merry Christmas from the three of us!

PLaY TiMe!
Ethan is becoming more aware of his surroundings each and every day! He loves laying on his playmat and watching Mommy, Daddy and Molly entertain him with his toys. The mat is underneath the fan in the study so he may just be staring at that... who knows. He does love watching the fan go round and round! Here is little video of us playing last night... sorry it's so dark! :(

TWO Months
This past Saturday Ethan turned 2 months old!!! He shared this milestone with his Gabby's birthday (my mom) so it was extra special. Unfortunately being two months old means several shots are in his future... tomorrow is his two month check-up with Dr. Travis. I look forward to finding out how much he has grown since his 2 week check-up, although I am certain it will make me sad to know how much he has changed already. I am dreading the vaccines though. Daddy is going to meet us there to provide both Mommy and Ethan some much needed comforting.

Packing on the pounds!
We went to the pediatrician yesterday and Ethan weighed in at a very healthy 10 lbs 14 oz!!! I could not believe it. Looking at him now you would have never guessed he had trouble with his weight in his first few weeks. Must be all that turkey he ate for Thanksgiving ;)
Here are a few of my favorite pictures from his newborn shoot... in these pictures he was only about 6 lbs! Ahhhh he has grown so fast!
